pole fitness miami


as many of you know, I've been taking pole dancing classes at a little studio in the gables called pole fitness miami. I love every minute of it :)


I've been doing it for about 2 1/2 weeks and i've already worked myself up to level 2. ANY one who wants to lose a little weight and HAVE SO MUCH FUN doing it i seriously recomend it. Each class starts on a yoga mat and you have a extreme stretching warm up and then it leads into various push ups and situps to really get your blood pumping, and finally you put on your stiletos and start working the pole.


As of right now, I've learned the basic spins such as



  • fireman

  • chair

  • butterfly

  • tinkerbell

  • windmill

  • attitude

  • fall back

  • and ice skater :)


I can't wait till I start learning the inverted moves, if only i could get brandon to buy me a pole for the 2nd bedroom <3>


for the skepticals :



  • no we dont take our clothes off. many of the girls only wearing sweatpants to class

  • im not practicing to be a stripper, i've never even been to a strip club

  • && YES it works. I'm sore from my head to my toes after every class, pole dancing will work muscles you didn't know you even had!

I can't wait to start learning moves like this

  1. Hey I've always wanted to try this out but I'm a bit shy. You see I'm not that skinny granted I'm not fat but still. And well I've never been the most active and athletic person on the planet. Would you recommend it for people who are somewhat athletically challenged?

  2. yes try it ! seriously. my teachers call me the skinny fat girl. because i have no core strength. my whole life i danced ballet and that doesnt really work out your arms. so i have no upper body strength. now that i've started class i feel it already. if your not athletical.. you will BECOME ATHLETIC.
